Nationally Accredited Laboratory! Zhongchuang Zhiyan Joint Laboratory Reaches New Heights in R&D Capabilities

CNAS is the abbreviation for the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment. Established and authorized by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Certification and Accreditation, CNAS is the national accreditation body responsible for the unified accreditation of certification bodies, laboratories, inspection bodies and other relevant institutions, with significant domestic and international influence.

Obtaining CNAS accreditation requires six rigorous stages: preliminary application, formal application, assessment preparation, document review, on-site assessment, and accreditation approval. The entire accreditation process typically takes 12 to 19 months, with extremely strict requirements for both software and hardware capabilities, featuring a long review cycle and high passing threshold.

Zhongchuang Zhiyan Joint Laboratory began preparations for CNAS accreditation application on July 3, 2023, and officially launched the process on July 5. After six stages of assessment, it officially obtained the CNAS Laboratory Accreditation Certificate on June 2, 2024 — completing the entire process in just over 10 months, an achievement of exceptional speed and quality rarely seen in the industry. The lead accreditation assessor commented: “This is the fastest enterprise I have ever handled in my career!”

Obtaining CNAS accreditation marks a new milestone for Zhongchuang Zhiyan Joint Laboratory in both product testing capabilities and management standards, with its test reports now carrying enhanced authority. It also confirms that the laboratory has the technical capabilities to carry out testing and calibration services in accordance with relevant international accreditation standards; gains access to participate in bilateral and multilateral cooperation and exchanges with international conformity assessment bodies; is authorized to use the CNAS accreditation mark within the scope of accreditation; and is included in the National Accredited Laboratory Directory. Moving forward, Zhongchuang Zhiyan Joint Laboratory will operate in an even more standardized and regulated manner under the CNAS management system.

CNAS has signed mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) with international accreditation bodies including the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC). This means that the test data and results issued by Zhongchuang Zhiyan Joint Laboratory will be recognized by international accreditation organizations in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. With international authority and credibility, this accreditation lays a solid foundation for Zhongchuang Zhiyan Joint Laboratory’s international development path.

      The laboratory consists of three core departments: the Formulation Center, Analytical Testing Center, and Efficacy Evaluation Center. Its core responsibilities include research on new technologies and concepts for daily chemical products, formulation development, clinical testing and product evaluation, toxicology research and safety assessment, in vitro efficacy research, microbial identification and testing, as well as the development and application of functional raw materials. 

The laboratory is staffed with professional talents across chemistry, biology, polymer science, pharmacy and food science, all holding bachelor’s degrees or above. Our R&D Director is Mr. Song, who has nearly 15 years of R&D experience in cosmetics and home care products. The team he leads has won multiple industry awards, and he himself has been honored with the titles of "Advanced Science and Technology Worker in China's Skincare Industry" and "Outstanding Engineer".
